My latest book explores how immortality is achieved through sacred lovemaking by women who follow the most ancient and winding path to enlightenment. The Way of the Serpent: Immortality Through Sacred Lovemaking is written specifically for women — and will ring true for those who have already set out on this road less travelled.

I felt compelled to write it after realising how much my own understanding has deepened since publishing The Sacred Sex Rites of Ishtar, more than 10 years ago. That book continues to sell well, and many readers have emailed me with questions that arose while putting its guidance into practice. Their questions inspired me to share these further insights in this new book.

A key realisation is that the practice of raising forces like the Kundalini should not even be attempted without the direct initiation, support, and ongoing guidance of the serpent spirits themselves.

Of course, this raises an important question: how does one receive such tutoring? Are there workshops, training days, or dragon shamans who can teach it? The answer is No — not in the way most people hope. While dragon shamans exist, they can only guide others because they themselves received this initiation directly from the serpents. Humans cannot bestow it. This transmission, and the years of support that surround it, is entirely in the gift of the dragons.

Let me tell you a little about these wonderful interdimensional beings.

As I write, there is much talk about aliens: whether they are here on the planet, or whether they are on their way. But the word ‘aliens’ is itself a misnomer for the extraordinarily beautiful entities that have been here on planet Earth for much longer than us. They arrived with the Panspermia event which brought the first injection of DNA into this planet more than three billion years ago.

Human shamans have always known them. We refer to them as spirit guides. They contact us through what you might call glitches in the matrix, to share their wisdom. To say they are intelligent… well, a new word should be coined. The supersonic speed of their brain-power and their simultaneous ability to plumb the depths of a topic leaves even the best A.I. bot in the dust.

All of my books, and more recently, my songs, are influenced by their guidance. Sometimes, they appear in front of me and talk directly, although it is usually a telepathic or an instantaneous transmission. They are fond of shape-shifting and clowning. They have a whole cast of characters to be drawn upon when they decide to stage a pantomime, to drive home a point. I am often driven to fits of laughter at their dramatisation of the human condition.

These spirit beings were referred to in the Bible as six-winged ‘seraphs’. They are celestial beings or angels of the highest rank in traditional Christian and Jewish theology. Often described as “burning ones”, they are renowned for their radiant, fiery nature.

Before that, for untold thousands of years, they were respected as the wise serpents, until the book of Genesis demonised them in its version of the Garden of Eden story. In order to survive Christianity, they became the elves and fairies of our folk stories. More recently, they have been coming back into popular culture as dragons, which suits their reptilian nature very well.

Only these serpent ancestors have the wisdom and strength to take us through the winding Way to enlightenment, so full of twists and turns and ups and downs, according to the shape of our own individual challenges. The more time that we spend in their bright worlds, the more our shadows rise up to be dealt with. I call this whole process the “roller coaster of the gods”. And in this book, I share certain techniques that worked for me, to deal with “the rigours of the ride”.

This practice used to be the sole province and purpose of nuns, and other female ascetics and ecstatics, who had the ability to go into trance and cross into the Other Worlds. Christian nuns once called themselves Brides of Christ. The reforms of Vatican II in the 1960s changed that term to Brides of the Church. In effect, this new edict subjugated their powers, derived from the Otherworlds, into the earthly power of the Roman Church.

So in short, if you’re new to this subject, The Sacred Sex Rites of Ishtar would give you a good foundational start. It lays out the why and wherefores of sacred sex magic in terms of personal alchemy, and I show copious evidence for its practice going back into the deepest antiquity. In this, its sequel, I will be sharing my deeper understanding which is very much in tune with these words of the 19th century German philosopher Paul Carus in his excellent translation of Psyche and Eros.

Love [Eros] moves the universe. As attraction, Love sways the molar masses of gravitating bodies; as affinity, Love joins atoms into higher combinations; but Love reaches perfection only when it is mated with the human soul; for then Love becomes conscious and learns to know its own nature.

In the human soul, however, Love is confronted with longing, with suffering, and with parting. It passes through trials and tribulations, but now at last Love finds bliss in otherness, satisfaction in self-surrender, restitution to life in the sacrifice of its own being, and immortality in death.

Death is the problem of life, but Love is its solution.

This is not a how-to book. This practice cannot be learned from merely attending a workshop or a retreat, or learning a new technique. If it’s not already written in your stars, it will elude you.

However, if it is your destiny to walk The Way, the right help will come at the right time. Maybe this book is in your hands right now for that reason? But it is more of a companion than a manual, and it is mainly directed towards women because there is very little of this nature that recognises differing female needs.

In fact, it looks as though there has been a deliberate forcing out of the fairer sex from the hallowed practices of sex magic and Tantra for thousands of years. The only authorised material on the subject is largely written by men, for men.

It may be a metaphor, but it is not a meaningless cliché that men come from Mars and women from Venus. It certainly has substance in sacred sex magic where magnetism and the law of attraction hold sway.

So diverse from one another are the genders, and not just anatomically and psychologically, that even how women raise the serpentine forces and circulate ‘chi’ is different too.

The Kundalini or the Microcosmic Orbit is not a thing for the female. Instead, she concentrates on activating The Great Cycle of the Return in which her Milk Fruit within her Lunar Blossom is stimulated. Then the flames called Tummo are fanned upwards by the inner winds to meet the descending drop of nectar which is melted to spin the Wheel of Light at her heart chakra.

Some of this will sound familiar to us from Chinese alchemy and its teachings about ‘yin’ and ‘yang’. Yin is receptive, dark, passive and yielding, just like the vulva or yoni. Yang is as hard, bright, active and penetrating as the ithyphallic lingam. They are not opposing forces that cancel each other out. As opposite poles they attract and then act together to create new worlds.

These days, women are encouraged to see themselves as equal to men. They are equal, but with different strengths and talents, and this reality is barely recognised. Those who have broken through “the glass ceiling” are persuaded that they’re freer, and thus luckier, than their mothers and grandmothers. This, even though the wages of two exhausted partners coming into one household barely cover the mortgage and the heating. All the while, the children are fed on fast food in front of junk telly which is trying to persuade them that they’re in the wrong sex or have the wrong colour skin.

We’re told that we have more liberated views about sex while we’re still essentially as prurient as the Victorians in many respects. It is through religious — and more recently, ideological — propaganda that women have allowed their innate powers to be stolen from them. It is social engineering, and just the latest development of an approach to organising civilisations that began more than two millennia ago, going back to the advent of the religions of the male sun gods in the West and to Confucianism in the East.

For that reason, there is only fragmentary evidence of the female’s all-important role in sacred sexual practices, such as those recorded in the texts of Vajrayana Buddhism or Taoism that spread from China into India in the early BCEs.

Just why the patriarchs stole this spiritual power from women will have to be another subject for another day. But I will just say that females naturally have a greater capacity than males to contact and work with the other dimensions, to bring about fruitfulness in this realm.

I have learned practically all I know about sacred sex and love as a path to immortality from my serpent spirit guides in the shamanic trance. Their teachings — in fact, their whole huge support system of my education — began before I even realised what I was being taught, about 30 years ago.

It is solely because of their loyal support that I feel honoured to be among the few women keeping these teachings alive today.
