The recent discovery* about Stonehenge being used as the setting for a fertility cult with the standing stones casting phallic shadows at certain times of the year is causing a bit of a stir among dusty old academics. However, it will come as no surprise to my readers and particularly those who’ve read my book Reclaiming Sovereignty which goes into much detail about the sacred shamanic sex rites of our earliest ancestors that were fired up by the spirits of the land and how they were used, thousands of years ago, for the purposes of Sovereignty – to make kings.
When Odin claimed the Mead of Wisdom and Poetry it was the final episode of a larger mythic cycle covered partly by the Prose Edda and partly by the Poetic Edda. It records the origins of the mead and its passage through existence, returning full circle to its starting point. Along the way, the mead is met by several of the beings who inhabit the World Tree; suggesting all of these different beings contribute to the progress of wisdom itself.
The mead’s first ingredient came about when the Aesir and Vanir Gods agreed a truce after their futile war. They all spat into a vat and out of their spittle arose a being called Kvasir.
The Vanir Gods are associated with wilderness, nature, fertility and possibly magic. The Aesir Gods seem more associated with the protection of social order, “civilization” and religious observance. Kvasir embodies their differences and their common peaceful interest. He contains everything those deities stood for, a compendium of cosmological knowledge. As Snorri Sturlason stated in the Prose Edda “He was so wise that no one could ask him a question that he could not answer”.
My book, The Grail Mysteries, features the Vesica Piscis in a faery tale for adults about shamanic sex rites and Sovereignty achieved through the Marriage of the Sun and the Moon. So I thought it might be useful to delve down deeper into this symbol to show its metaphorical meaning.
The universe communicates with itself through pictures – colourful symbols and metaphors. Perhaps that’s why we find, as shamans, that symbols and metaphors are the main way in which the spirits talk to us, and we also use symbols and metaphors to talk to them. A picture speaks a thousand words, as they say, and it utters those words through the vibrational resonance of its sacred geometrical dimensions and colour and sound frequencies. Continue reading
I hope you like the beautiful wrought gilded chalice gracing the cover of my new book The Grail Mysteries as much as I do. It was commissioned by Abbot Suger of St Denis, France, in the twelfth century, while its sardonyx cup was made in Alexandria in the second century BCE.
Those who know about sacred sex magic will instantly recognise why Abbot Suger’s chalice makes a most appropriate cover for a mythic tale which explores that subject in depth. This chalice is symbolic of the Marriage of the Sun and the Moon, the alchemical operation that is at the heart of the ancient mysteries of the Grail which is about the shamanic form of sex that has always underpinned Sovereignty. In his speech to Congress on Tuesday, Trump was talking about how his movement evolved and he said: “Then, in 2016, the Earth shifted beneath our feet.”
Why did Trump choose that specific metaphor? Does he know that the spirit of Sovereignty rose from the land?
This is my first in a series of video broadcasts around the topic of reclaiming Sovereignty. I explain a little about how Sovereignty is a spiritual force that comes forth from the spirits of the land, otherwise known as the Fae or faeries. We’ve been on such a wild helter skelter ride, lately – a virtual Apocalypse of political revelations – that it’s easy to get mesmerised watching the marionettes on the world stage as they try to cling on to power while the hurricane of the spirit of Sovereignty challenges their citadels.
That said, I want to tell you about my new book, The Bright World of the Gods, which is based on the stories of our own indigenous culture. That’s because, in my experience, geo-political events don’t just happen randomly in a vacuum. When they are an organic ‘populist’ expression, they are the end result of an impetus that springs forth from the hearts and minds of the people and that has its source in spirituality first, and then culture.
