This picture above is entitled “and the music don’t feel like it did when i felt it with you”. I didn’t make it but I have permission to use it and maybe turn it into a song, because I think it sums up so perfectly what falling out of love is like. The birdsong seems muted, the dawn skies appear dull and grey and we even go off our food because it no longer tastes so good.

By contrast, we can understand how important love is to our wellbeing; how it brings us alive to appreciate all the wonders of the creation to their fullest. It is, in my opinion, because we are made of love. We are made of a God that is love and it’s my understanding, through cymatics, that that divine love is a force that builds and ultimately destroys the creation through musical frequencies.

I’ve been listening lately to those on YouTube describing their Near Death Experiences. They all present remarkably similar accounts, which have one common denominator: they find themselves bobbing in clouds of light and singing in choirs of praise, and they inspired two of my recent songs:

I like listening to those people describing their NDEs. I enjoy their energies… all of them…because no matter whether they were spiritual, religious or an atheist when they “died”, they all resonate with that love, that God, that music which they became, when they remember and recount the experiences of their NDE.

One woman talked about how she saw the prayers of Earth arriving through a certain portal, and she said that they all took the form of musical notes like crochets, semi-quavers and brieves. I wasn’t the least surprised to hear that.

I can vouch for the veracity of these testimonies because I’ve also had similar experiences in shamanic journeying, when I ‘die’ to this world. And so recently it’s become my aim to try to channel the warmth and the beauty of all those off-world musical clouds of love into my songs, to remind us of where we all came from, and to where we will all, one day, return.
