Our new album, Windmill, came out of some ideas that Andreas Pirner and I were batting back and forth, about celebrating with song each of the eight pre-Christian Druidic festivals of the year.

Our thinking was inspired by my article, The Windmill of the Year, which explains how the ever-revolving festivals made a kind of Windmill of the Year that was aligned with the ever-revolving Windmill of the Stars (or zodiac) in the heavens above.

As Above, So Below, as it is inscribed on the Emerald Tablet.

In other words, both Saturnic mills, as Blake called them, were yoked together by the prayers and offerings of the shamans and druids because getting them into perfect alignment is considered by esoteric practitioners to be the magical key to bringing the heavens down to Earth, in other words, to produce abundant harvests.

Twelve months later, here is the result, our new album, Windmill.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it! Just click on the picture with its splendid cover art by Andreas, and it will take you to where you can hear it on Soundcloud.
